Join blacksmiths Michael Bennett and Piers Edsall for an exclusive, hands-on workshop where you and your partner will transform raw metal into a lasting symbol of your relationship.

The Experience
This immersive 3.5-hour session is about making, not watching.
You’ll work side-by-side to create two different roses — each with its own meaning — brought together in one shared piece.

Part 1: Shaping the Roses (Cold Forging)
Under the guidance of Michael Bennett, you’ll each cold-forge a rose:
One copper rose — shaped from warm, expressive metal
One steel rose — strong, resilient, and enduring
You’ll learn how to form, texture, and finish petals by hand, focusing on detail and individuality. Each rose will be unique, just like the people making them.

Part 2: The Heat of the Forge (Hot Forging)
Move to the fire with Piers Edsall and experience traditional hot forging.
Together, you’ll heat and hammer steel to create a shared stand designed to hold both roses — a physical symbol of two materials, two people, coming together.

Sessions:
Morning: 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Price: £180 per couple
(Includes all materials, expert tuition, and your finished piece)
