At Environmental Art we already aim to cut down on our emissions and reduce our "Carbon Footprint" as much as possible. For our hardwood seating, we use only those suppliers who take into account environmental considerations and who purchase the wood from sustainable sources. All of our timber comes from certified suppliers who have an excellent reputation for the supply of sustainable wood. We use Iroko, Oak, Chestnut and Softwood for our Outdoor Furniture. Teak is no longer used in our furniture due to its status as an endangered species of wood; Iroko proves itself to be an ideal alternative and can even surpass teak in its life expectancy.

Our seats are handmade in the UK to ensure the quality of our products and help us further reduce the carbon emissions caused by imports. We also endeavour to use local suppliers where possible and our steel products are all made in the local region which enables us to cut down on transportation. All our clean timber waste is recycled to provide heating for our premises and thus helping us cut down on our energy requirements.

Now in addition to all this!! On receipt of every order placed we will be planting a native hardwood tree in North Yorkshire. Environmental Art are pleased to have teamed up with Nunnington Estates in Ryedale to implement a tree planting scheme. We will be planting new native hardwoods like Oak, Ash and Cherry to help further offset the carbon footprint produced from the manufacture of our products.
